Director of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) paid courtesy visit to Long An Provincial People's Committee

On 09 March 2010, the delegation experts of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) headed by Mr. Ken Odajima - Director of Southeast Asia Department visited and paid courtesy visit to Long An Provincial People's Committee. Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Duong Quoc Xuan and leaders of the Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Foreign Affairs attended.

Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Duong Quoc Xuan briefly introduced the socio-economic situation in the locals, especially the list of calling projects for ODA capital from Japanese Government. Chairman confirmed Long An provincial government will create favorable conditions for investors during investment process in the province. Also, he said one of the priorities of the current projects in Long An is related to clean water supply, wastewater treatment projects, road traffic systems, health facilities and education, etc.

Mr. Ken Odajima highly appreciates projects supported by Japanese Government in Long An province which has implemented in recent years. He suggested Provincial People's Committee for selecting the most effective method for the key projects and urgent issues in the locals for Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) can proceed in capital funding and technologies.
