Minister Le Doan Hop speech directed a number missions for Long An
Provincial Department of Information and Communication
In the session meeting with the delegation at Provincial People's Committee venue were two Vice Chairmen of Long An province – Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nguyen, Mr. Tran Minh Hung and participated of provincial leaders of departments
As reported by Department of Information and Communication: the operating from application of information technology in state agencies have achieved certain results, completing objectives as important as managing internet system, frequency power line, telecommunication services and advanced telecommunications infrastructure than before. Specifically, public telecommunications affects people who live in remote areas in 2009. 100% departments have developed their local area network; there were 100% the People’s Committee in districts and cities have developed the links between departments and important units. There are 83% of State officials and civil servants in the province and using E-mail.
Department has signed with Farmer Association in the aim to information for agriculture, farmers, rural areas on the period of 2009 to 2013, aiming to advanced training and improve knowledge for people in rural areas.
After listening to opinions of provincial leaders, the report of Department of Information and Communication and authorized agencies comments, the Minister-Le Doan Hop praised Long An Provincial Department of Information and Communication achieved striving results in the past. In addition, the Minister pointed out some of industries should be focused on in future such as infrastructure development; it is need to be concentrated on postal-telecommunications and information technology issues. Minister said the Ministry would support Long An province of piloting models of basis E-government performance.
